Mission
The mission of Compassion It Chicago is to reduce apathy, anger,
and incidents of violence, thereby improving the lives of all Chicagoans.
Compassion It Chicago holds this as truth: compassionate people do not kill and hurt others. The more compassionate people in a community, the less violence. We seek to connect people from different parts of the city to have conversations about compassion and suffering. This dialogue is critical to building a sense of personal responsibility for the tragedies plaguing communities in our city
